Will Beauty Save The World This Time? Iowa Wesleyan University is pleased to announce the 2017 Annual Manning Lecture in Religion. Artist and theologian, Ted Lyddon Hatten will present a lecture entitled "Will Beauty Save the World this Time?" in the Iowa Wesleyan Chapel Auditorium on Sunday February 26 at 2:00pm.

His work is best described as theopoetic and multidisciplinary. As a visual artist, Ted works with a variety of media, including myrrh, coffee grounds, gunpowder, glass, sand, and salt. The themes that recur for him include beauty, brokenness, compassion, justice, and belonging. Currently, Ted is the Directory of the Wesley Foundation and adjunct professor at Drake University and his studio is located in Indianola, Iowa.
